Join an award-winning festival team and do good work for the betterment of the Muskoka Lakes community.
Who is eligible? Unemployed or underemployed youth (under the age of 30) who have graduated with a degree or diploma from a post-secondary institution within the last three years, are legally entitled to work in Canada, and have not been previously employed under a FedNor Youth Internship funding agreement, or other federal or provincial internship with pay for a period of six (6) months or more.
You: Enjoy putting your highly creative marketing skills to work on new events and campaigns and want to contribute to the collective work the Chamber and Festival do for the community. You will manage event planning and communication for the Chamber, and spearhead social media campaigns and create the guest online experience for the Festival.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Graduate of a business administration, marketing, events or project management program or related discipline
- Knowledge of Muskoka
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, social media and website/database management
- Excellent communications skills (fluent in English)
- Solid organization and time-management skills
- Must have reliable transportation
Education: Business administration, marketing/events/project management, marketing, communications or public relations.
Salary: $35,000. This full-time position is partially funded by FedNor's Northern Ontario Development Program.
